Maira and Nicola founded Elo Architecture in 2024 after more than six years working side by side at Cadence & Co, delivering high-end residential projects across Sydney. Between them, they bring decades of experience in design, documentation, and project delivery — along with a shared belief that architecture should be for everyone.

Elo was born from a desire to create a studio that is deeply collaborative — with each other, our clients, and our consultants — and that keeps the design process clear, enjoyable, and personal. The name “Elo” means “link” or “connection” in Portuguese, which reflects how we work: connecting people with place, and ideas with buildable, enduring solutions.

Our backgrounds span a wide range of projects — from multi-unit developments to contemporary rural homes — and we draw on that breadth to find the best approach for each new brief. While we love great design, we’re equally committed to ensuring every project runs smoothly, from first sketch to final handover.
