At Elo Architecture, our design philosophy is rooted in connection. We believe that architecture is more than just buildings—it’s about creating meaningful links between people and their environment, between vision and function, between community and sustainability.
Our approach to architecture is holistic. Each project is carefully considered from multiple angles—sustainability, functionality, and aesthetics—to create thoughtful, enduring spaces. We prioritise environmentally responsible solutions, ensuring that our designs not only meet the needs of today but also contribute to a sustainable future.
A female-led architecture studio we value collaboration, empathy, and sustainability. Elo Architecture fosters a supportive, inclusive environment where diverse ideas and perspectives are valued. We focus on creating sustainable, functional designs that reflect the needs of communities and clients, rather than individual acclaim. Driven by a strong sense of purpose, our team works closely with clients to translate their visions into spaces that are not only aesthetically remarkable but also deeply responsive to the surrounding environment. Professionalism, integrity, and a people-first approach define our ethos.

Maira Zugman
Director. NSW ARB 12675
Bachelor of Architecture and Urban Planning
Master in Sustainable Design and Building
Maira’s architectural journey began in Brazil, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Planning in 2005. Her passion for sustainable design led her to Australia, where she completed a Master’s in Sustainable Design and Building at the University of Sydney. Over the years, she refined her expertise in residential architecture, working across a range of projects from boutique luxury homes to large-scale developments.
She went on to lead teams at a top Australian architectural practice, specialising in high-end residential design. To further develop her project management skills, she spent seven years in a leadership role at a design and construction firm in the Northern Beaches, overseeing bespoke homes and ensuring seamless project delivery. Her meticulous approach, attention to detail, and deep understanding of construction allow her to create homes that are both visually striking and highly functional.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with her husband and two children, tackling DIY projects, cooking, painting, bushwalking, and crafting flower arrangements.
