Mosman.
This alterations and additions project breathes new life into a classic Federation home in Mosman, seamlessly blending heritage character with contemporary design and functionality.
What began as a commission to design a carport, evolved into a comprehensive reimagining of the art of living. The new intervention involves excavation within the sandstone substructure, creating a new lower level that houses the new entry, a gym, sauna, and laundry. This innovative use of space adds substantial value without compromising the home's original footprint.
A key feature of the renovation is the redesigned entry. Once convoluted, it has been replaced with a striking glass and steel addition that provides a clear and welcoming approach to the home. This contemporary element complements the Federation architecture, creating a thoughtful dialogue between old and new.
Throughout the project, careful consideration was given to balancing historical character with contemporary needs. The result is a thoughtful transformation that weaves Federation charm with modern functionality, creating spaces that respect the past while embracing the future.
